Jay Anderson
Elder (Lead Pastor)
Pastor Jay was born and raised in Iowa.
He earned a B.A. in Marketing from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997 and an M.Div. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2003.
Pastor Jay met his amazing wife, Kristie, while attending seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. The Lord has blessed them with four active children (Noel, Deacon, Anna, Selah) who keep them very busy with homeschooling, music lessons, and various sports activities.
Before joining CrossPointe Church in November of 2016, the Andersons served as church planters in Iowa and cross cultural workers in East Asia.
Lukas Setzler
Elder (Youth & Children's Pastor)
Ministry Assistant
Lukas was born and raised in Monroe and attended Ida Public Schools.
He is currently enrolled at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he is pursuing a Master of Divinity specializing in Christian Education.
Lukas began his role at CrossPointe Church on January 1, 2020. In addition to his Youth and Children's roles at the church, he also is our ministry assistant working in the office each week. He also enjoys playing on the Worship Team. Lukas is married to Anna and they enjoy serving CrossPointe Church together!
Andrew Spencer
Elder
Spence has been a part of CrossPointe Church since 2018.
He faithfully serves in teaching Bible Study each Sunday at 9am. He became one of our Elders in December 2023.
Spence is married to Jennifer and they have three children: Grace, Martha, and Freeman.
Larry Sanders
Elder
Larry has been a part of CrossPointe Church since 2017.
He faithfully serves by leading our Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) group. He became one of our Elders in December 2023.
Larry is married to Liz and they have two sons: Larry and Danny.
Collin Bartley
Music Ministry Leader
Collin was born and raised in Monroe, MI.
He graduated from Monroe County Community College with his associate's degree in 2018.
Collin has been serving as Music Ministry Leader since spring 2017, and works full-time as a Web Developer.
Collin is very musically gifted and is able to play many instruments. His computer skills have allowed him to be very instrumental in upgrades at CrossPointe in building our system for our livestreams.
Collin has been married to Kadynn since 2022.
Josh Petree
Assistant Music Ministry Leader
Josh has been a part of CrossPointe for many years. In January of 2023, Josh became an official part of the staff at CrossPointe further assisting our Music Ministry in leading once a month.
Josh is a teacher in the Toledo area. In addition to teaching music in the public school setting, he also teaches private guitar lessons.
Josh and his wife, Angie, have two sons Luke and Jacob.
Anthony Guy
Assistant Music Ministry Leader
Anthony has been playing music in the local church for many years.
He came to CrossPointe church early in 2022 after being the Music Director at another local church and has been faithfully serving on the worship team since.
Anthony officially joined our staff in January 2023 to further help our Music Ministry.
Anthony married Lindsay in July 2023.
Randy Cross
Deacon
Randy has been a part of CrossPointe Church for many years. Not only does he serve CrossPointe Church as a deacon (since ordination in February 2022), but he also serves on the Response Team and the Audio/Visual Team.
Randy is married to Laura (one of our faithful Preschool and Nursery teachers) and has three children.
Neil Jones
Deacon
Neil is no stranger to anyone that comes to CrossPointe Church. He may be one of the first faces you see when coming into the church building.
Neil has been serving CrossPointe in the role of deacon since February 2022. In addition to being a deacon, he also serves on the Response Team.
Neil is married to Jessica and they faithfully serve our church together.
James Wagner
Deacon
James has been serving at CrossPointe Church for many years with his family. You will often find him in the front of the sanctuary doing sign language for his son, T.J.
James has been serving in the capacity of deacon since February 2022.
James is married to Colette and they have three children, T.J., Anna, and Greta.
